The Director, Commercial Payer and Government Accounts, leads Enzyvant’s strategic and tactical engagement with national and key regional commercial Payers, FFS and Managed Medicaid, Federal Accounts (VA, DoD/TRICARE, USPHS) and other payer accounts as assigned.   This role will be responsible for the management and oversight of all commercial and government payer activities ensuring appropriate patient access to Enzyvant therapies.


This role is also responsible for compliance with government pricing calculations, state price transparency reporting, and government contracting and works collaboratively with marketing, strategic account management, medical affairs, legal, finance, government relations, and patient support program to ensure appropriate access initiatives and programs are deployed to key decision makers and influencers.  The Director will build long term executive-level account relationships.  This position is field based (remote) and will require travel, as needed.  This role reports to the Vice President Market Access.



  • Establish successful strategies for payer engagements across all channels based on deep understanding of each customer’s business processes, strategies and market environment
  • Compliantly engages with national and regional commercial payers, FFS and Managed Medicaid Plans, and Federal Accounts (VA, DoD/TRICARE, USPHS) to secure appropriate access for Enzyvant products
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior level executives and key decision makers with commercial and government payers, who have responsibility for influencing medical policies, fee schedules, product coverage, and utilization management
  • Directly responsible for market development and implementation of coverage and reimbursement strategy to ensure patient access while minimizing and/or removing access barriers
  • Effectively communicate Enzyvant product value proposition to key payers through proactive communications
  • Proactively identifies issues and challenges with accounts and engages with appropriate Enzyvant resources in the development of customer solutions
  • Develop and execute business strategies and tactics to achieve defined performance objectives
  • Develop account strategies and tactics in close collaboration with marketing, strategic account management, medical affairs, government relations, patient support, legal and finance
  • Subject matter expert for rare disease market insights, strategy development, and commercialization to maximize product access throughout its lifecycle
  • Maintain and develop broad knowledge of ongoing changes in the US healthcare market delivery and anticipate implications to our brand
  • Implement government pricing requirements and lead all activities that support government calculations, timely submissions, and government contracting
  • Lead State price transparency reporting and ensuring timely compliance with all state requirements
  • Monitor external government policy developments to ensure continued compliance with all pricing regulations and potential impact of pending legislation
  • Enzyvant lead for payer conferences and meetings; leads communication and cross functional engagement to optimize outreach opportunities



  • BA or BS degree required (MBA or advanced degree is a plus)
  • Minimum 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech market access account management experience with key national and regional payers including commercial, government, FFS and managed Medicaid accounts (rare disease account management experience a plus)
  • Existing payer relationship with National, Regional and Government payers
  • Demonstrated expertise of US Market Access landscape and the levers by which commercial and state payers manage rare disease therapies
  • Proven launch excellence and leadership, preferably in rare disease market, with a history of sustained results
  • Demonstrated ability to secure appropriate access for rare disease launch products
  • High level of scientific and clinical acumen
  • Effective executive level presentation and communication skills (including virtual)
  • Experience with FSS and State Price Transparency reporting and management
  • Prior management of mandatory rebate/pricing submissions- Federal and State Medicaid
  • Specialty Pharmacy and Specialty Distribution experience preferred
  • Proven ability to use Excel, PowerPoint and Word and general Microsoft suite software
